NEW YORK, NY – October 5, 2009 – Lane Office is proud to announce the DIRTT • Mogens Smed Grant for the School of Visual Arts. The $5,000 grant will be applied to one School of Visual Arts student’s tuition for the Spring semester. The recipient of the grant will be determined based on a design competition. The grant and competition were created to introduce designers to the revolutionary design specification software, ICE®, and to identify innovative ways to utilize ICE.
School of Visual Arts students are invited to submit a workplace environment design that incorporates DIRTT walls and Knoll furniture. Submissions will be judged by a team of industry professionals, including Gregory F. Burke, president of Lane Office. The winning design will be selected based on creative use of the ICE software. The winner will be announced December 8th and will be awarded $5,000 as well as a personal critique by Mogens Smed, founder of DIRTT Environmental Solutions.
