Lane Office manages all aspects of the project and coordinates other trades and vendors in the supply chain. Customers using our services enjoy a single point of contact for information and progress reporting.
Budgeting, scheduling and reporting
Lane Office assists in the development of project budgets. Our experience and negotiating skills ensure that customers receive the best possible pricing. Schedules are developed that meet customers' needs. Lane Office's various projects require different reporting standards. Our tracking system allows us to generate reports in numerous formats so that control is transparent throughout the project cycle.
Subcontractor coordination
Lane Office provides key subcontractor management. Effective coordination of subcontractors prevents delays as the schedule is confirmed with each trade in advance. Subcontractors include electricians, voice data cable installers, floor covering, hardware installers and movers.
Expense approval and control
To eliminate miscellaneous cost overruns, Lane Office controls all change orders. All expenses require written authorization before being processed.
Strategic planning, standards migration
Considerable savings can be achieved through the development and implementation of standards. Lane Office can develop and then manage a migration strategy that identifies new furniture purchases within a framework that over time leads to a consistent workplace appearance. Lane Office works with the customer to create a long-term plan that focuses on reducing costs and maximizing the flexibility of furniture assets.
Inventory survey
Lane Office prepares detailed inventory reports of furniture and equipment assets. Inventory teams are dispatched to the customer's location to collect data. Digital photography and bar coding are included when required. "As built" drawings are prepared when needed. Reporting is offered in a number of formats, which can be used to determine reuse and distribution strategies.
Warehousing and transportation
Lane Office coordinates the movement of furniture on a national basis. Warehousing is arranged for furniture assets, which can be redistributed as needed. Transportation is coordinated and inside delivery and installation managed.
Specification and alternative solutions
Lane Office provides specification services using the latest design software and specification tools. Our design team prepares a detailed bill of materials and reviews specifications received from others for accuracy. Alternative solutions to reduce costs are suggested for consideration.
Sourcing
Lane Office's services include sourcing new, used and existing product. Local groups may have a relationship with furniture dealers in their area. Lane Office will coordinate the purchase of new furniture through these organizations. Each new furniture specification is compared to the existing furniture inventory and, if available, the product is incorporated. This reduces the new furniture cost.
Redeployment, reuse, reallocation
Lane Office manages the redeployment, reuse and reallocation of furniture assets on a national basis. Detailed inventories of furniture assets enable us to maximize the utilization of furniture assets based on a global perspective of installed furniture.
Installation and reconfiguration
Installation of new product or the reconfiguration of existing furniture is coordinated by our Furniture Management team. Working with local dealers and/or installations vendors, Lane Office assures on time and on budget completion of the work to be performed.
Rehabilitation and restoration
Furniture that is scheduled for disposal can, in many instances, be rehabilitated. Lane Office will inspect the furniture scheduled for disposal and determine if rehabilitation is cost effective. Lane Office will coordinate the refinishing/repainting and ultimate reuse of the furniture.
Disposal and brokerage
Lane Office has a nationwide network of furniture brokers who clear furniture from facilities. We will negotiate a sell price for the furniture assets on behalf of the customer and coordinate the disassembly and removal of the furniture.

Sophisticated tracking systems ensure reduction of waste and duplication, increase leverage on new furniture purchase pricing and maximized furniture asset utilization.
Space planning, CAD
Lane Office employs the latest ACAD design tools. Our technical designers will space plan workspaces using existing furniture and determine if additional components are required.
Specifications
Lane Office provides experiences specification services. Using the latest CAD design software and specification tools, a detailed bill of materials is prepared. Our design team reviews specifications received from others for accuracy.
Installation and reconfiguration

Move management
Working with the customer's selected moving company, Lane Office will coordinate the schedule with other trades, installers and new furniture deliveries.
Verification of furniture specifications
Lane Office's furniture experts will review the bills of material before order placement with the manufacturer to ensure accuracy. This review will also consider alternatives that reduce cost.
Compliance to buying agreements
Lane Office will review all pricing to ensure compliance to buy agreements. When no buying agreement is in place, Lane Office will negotiate with the selected vendor to get the best possible pricing. When a specification is created by the customer's preferred vendor/furniture dealer, Lane Office will check unit pricing for accuracy.
Accurate delivery and installation costs
Lane Office will make accurate delivery and installation estimates and examine them against "fair market" pricing for these services.
Project time line management
Lane Office will evaluate the project time line against expected performance from selected manufacturers, other trades, building conditions and customer's expectations. Potential problems will be identified and alternative solutions proposed.
