Mark Fischer and Aaron Black have acquired Lane Office Furniture, Inc. and will lead the company as Co-Principals, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our 104-year-old company.
This transition is not about changing who Lane Office is. It is about building on the foundation that has carried us this far with fresh energy, new ideas, and a renewed focus on the people, relationships, and systems that will shape our future.
Continuing a Legacy with Gregory F. Burke
While Lane Office is entering a new chapter, Gregory F. Burke will remain closely involved with the company.
Following 34 years of leadership and 44 years of service, Greg will continue to serve as a trusted presence and an important source of guidance for Mark, Aaron, and the entire Lane Office team throughout the transition and beyond. His experience, relationships, and deep understanding of the company will remain invaluable as Lane Office moves forward.
For our clients, partners, and team, this means much of what they know and value about Lane Office will remain firmly in place. The relationships, knowledge, and commitment that have defined the company are not being left behind; they are the foundation for what comes next.

Lane Office has never been a company that stands still. Since our founding in 1922, we have continued to evolve alongside the people, businesses, and workplaces we serve. Meet Our Co-Principals
Mark most recently served as CEO of Lane Office and has played an integral role in shaping the company’s direction. As Co-Principal, he will direct much of his focus toward business development, client relationships, strategic partnerships, and identifying new opportunities for Lane Office and FalkbuiltNY.
For Mark, stepping into this new role came with both nerves and excitement.
“At first, I was a bit nervous about this acquisition because of the inherent risk of owning a business, but as Aaron and I dove more into it, the nerves turned into excitement,” said Mark. “You can feel the buzz around the office and industry, which is incredibly invigorating and extremely exciting—we’re thrilled about this opportunity.”
Aaron joins Lane Office with more than 20 years of experience in commercial construction, including 10 years at a major national office furniture dealer, where he most recently served as Executive Vice President.
As Co-Principal, Aaron will draw upon his operational background to strengthen the internal systems that support our team and our clients. His focus will include advancing team training, refining processes, and building upon the operational foundation already in place as Lane Office continues to grow.
“Both my parents were entrepreneurs, and it has been a dream of mine to follow in their footsteps,” said Aaron. “I’m excited to help lead a team primed for disruption. I’ve admired Mark’s work ethic as a competitor since joining the industry, and when the opportunity to work with him came along, it was an easy yes.”
