As with big executive desks and drywall in the corporate environment, education centers are moving away from antiquated practices — large lecture halls and row after row of student writing desks are used less and less frequently. The learning process is more interactive. Implementing Knoll Generation and Knoll Studio, we helped to bring this concept to fruition. As evidenced by our education client’s New Jersey location, the new norm is collaborative group discussions in open environment lounge seating, as well as furniture with integrated power and data for multimedia devices. This provides the opportunity for increased digital access and the organic, free-flowing transfer of ideas among students.
